Kate Sheridan is a label full of east end character. Well known to the local fashion folk, its stylish no nonsense design approach has established itself internationally as an off beat accessories label.
All designed in house, we proudly use traditional print methods and source quality British and European fabrics and Italian vegetable tanned leather to produce accessories and womenswear made for a practical modern woman.
Kate enrolled at East End’s Cordwainers College in ’97. She then went on to earn her fashion-stripes as a press-officer for Patrick Cox as well as working with Johnny Moke, before establishing Sheridan & Minns. This later developed into the solo Kate Sheridan label that it is today.
Producing bi-annual collections of accessories and womenswear, we have also done collaborations with other lovely companies like Will Broome, Shopgirl, Dunlop, Urban Outfitters, The National Gallery, Topshop, and the V&A Museum.
Our accessories are crafted from the finest Italian vegetable tanned leather. This type of leather is dyed without any chemicals - instead, natural tannins like bark and flowers are used. A veg tan leather purse will get better with age and develop a beautiful patina full of character.
We are committed to producing high quality products here in the UK, working with factories in East London as well as in the North of England, ensuring Kate Sheridan products are made with care as well as supporting British trade.
In addition to our amazing teams of crafters, we also produce ranges of leather products in house in our Clapton Studio and Store and regularly host workshops to share our love of leather work with others.
